All of our products are all handmade and hand painted by Master Fujii Kinsai,
therefore each individual item are slightly different each other.
Kinsai is a traditional Arita ware style in which a glaze is applied over the dyeing and fired at 1300 degrees, then painted with Arita ware's traditional colored paints and fired at 800 degrees, incorporating colors such as red, green, blue, and yellow, and then adding patterns and decorations using gold. Since each color is fired once, each piece is fired 5 to 10 times before it is completed. It is a gorgeous and elegant style that incorporates attractive gold colors with original colors and layouts.
This work uses a unique green glaze called Ryokusai glaze. Unlike paint, the green created by the copper oxide in the glaze has a rich and deep flavor. In addition, the green glaze changes in the kiln during reduction firing, resulting in changes in the glaze tone (flow and discoloration of the glaze), allowing you to enjoy the ``beauty of chance''.
