This Arita-yaki decorative plate is entirely coated in a distinctive red glaze known as *shinsha* (copper-red glaze) and features gold-painted motifs of Mount Fuji, cranes, and pine trees. The *shinsha* glaze derives its color from copper reacting during the reduction firing process, creating a rich, profound red hue that cannot be replicated with standard pigments.
