*Kinsai* (Gold Decoration) is a traditional Arita-yaki style characterized by a multi-stage process: underglaze painting followed by firing at 1,300°C; overglaze painting using traditional Arita pigments (red, green, blue, yellow, etc.) followed by firing at 800°C; and finally, the application of gold patterns for decoration. Because the piece is fired after the application of each color, the creation process involves five to ten separate firings. It is a magnificent and dignified style that incorporates brilliant gold decoration alongside inventive color schemes and layouts.

*Somenishiki Platinum-sai* (Underglaze Blue & Overglaze Enamel with Platinum) is a unique technique developed by Kinsai Fujii, in which platinum accents are applied to white porcelain—previously fired at 1,300°C—and then fired again at 800°C to bond the platinum to the surface. The process involves firing the piece after each color application—totaling six to ten firings—with the platinum applied and fired last. The platinum applied across the surface creates subtle nuances of light and shadow; its luster shifts depending on the angle of the light and the viewer's perspective, ensuring a constant, radiant shine. It is a luxurious style that fuses Arita-yaki traditions with a modern sensibility.

**Crane**
Along with the turtle, the crane has long been revered as an auspicious creature—symbolized by the saying "Cranes live a thousand years; turtles, ten thousand"—and is regarded as a bird of longevity. In China, legend holds that the deity of longevity (Shurojin) rode a crane to summon the Eight Immortals. In Japan, too, the elegant crane is deeply cherished, and its motif appears in a wide variety of art forms, including *maki-e* lacquerware and ceramics. It is a splendid pattern suitable for celebrations and highly auspicious, symbolizing military victory, family harmony, and longevity; it conveys a sense of grace and nobility.

**Turtle**
As expressed in the ancient saying "Cranes live a thousand years; turtles, ten thousand," the turtle is a symbol of longevity and a creature of good omen, frequently used to represent auspiciousness. As a pattern, it has long been favored for its auspicious nature, with its design appearing on a wide variety of items such as decorative objects and ceramics. It is a splendid, celebratory pattern symbolizing health, longevity, and family harmony—a classic motif of good fortune.

**Sho-chiku-bai (Pine, Bamboo, and Plum)**
The pine and bamboo—which retain their green color even amidst wind, snow, and bitter cold—and the plum—which blooms earlier than other plants—are revered as symbols of longevity, nobility, and purity. The pine represents enduring vitality; the bamboo signifies steadfast integrity and nobility; and the plum is celebrated for its refined fragrance and elegance. Long used in diverse designs ranging from ornaments to ceramics, this is a magnificent, celebratory motif regarded as a symbol of good fortune.

**Seigaiha (Blue Ocean Waves)**
This is a geometric pattern featuring waves depicted in a fan-like shape and layered in an alternating arrangement. Its perfected beauty as a traditional pattern appeals to everyone, and it has frequently appeared in works such as Iro-Nabeshima and Ko-Imari ware. It is an auspicious pattern embodying the wish for a peaceful life to continue forever, much like the waves that endlessly repeat across the vast, stretching ocean.
