A distant view of the procession of worshippers at Otori Shrine in Asakusa Tamo,
seen from a window in the lodgings of a prostitute working in Yoshiwara.
The festival is held every November on the day of the rooster,
and initially the shrine was worshipped as a god of career advancement
and good fortune, and later as a god of prosperity in business,
as it was associated with "grabbing the eagle."
One Hundred Famous Views of Edo is a series of ukiyo-e prints
begun and largely completed by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797~1858)
