All of our products are all handmade and hand painted by Master Fujii Kinsai,
therefore each individual item are slightly different each other.
"Somenishiki Platinum-Irodori" is a unique technique developed by Kinsai Fujii. It involves applying platinum accents to white porcelain that has already been fired at 1,300°C, followed by a final firing at 800°C to bond the platinum to the surface. The piece undergoes multiple firings—typically six to ten rounds—as each color is applied individually, with the platinum firing serving as the final step. The platinum applied across the surface creates subtle nuances of light and shadow; its luster shifts depending on the angle of the light and the viewer's perspective, ensuring a constant, radiant sparkle. This luxurious style harmoniously blends the traditions of Arita ware with a modern aesthetic.
