therefore each individual item are slightly different each other.
"Somenishiki-Kogane" (Dyed-Brocade Gold) is a unique technique developed by Kinsai Fujii. It involves applying gold accents to white porcelain—which has already been fired at 1,300°C—and then firing it again at 800°C to bond the gold. The piece undergoes multiple firings—ranging from six to ten rounds—as each individual color is applied, with the gold firing performed as the final step. The gold applied across the surface creates subtle nuances of light and shadow. The luster of the gold shifts depending on the angle of the light and the viewer's perspective, resulting in a magnificent, opulent style that exudes a powerful presence.
Paulownia (Kiri)
Since ancient times, the paulownia tree has been considered auspicious. Regarded as a noble tree, it serves—alongside the chrysanthemum—as an emblem of the Japanese Imperial Family. In the decorative motifs of Arita and Imari ware, the paulownia is traditionally depicted as the tree where the mythical phoenix (ho-o) perches; consequently, the two are frequently paired to create designs of great elegance and prestige.
